Dallas, TX, June 1, 2016 – 1000Bulbs.com now carries the new Leviton SmartlockPro® Dual Function AFCI/GFCI Receptacle, the first dual AFCI/GFCI outlet on the market. The receptacle provides protection against electrical shock due to ground faults and electrical fires caused by arc faults. As a ground fault interrupter (GFCI), it detects when less current is flowing back to the outlet than is flowing out. It is also an arc fault interrupter (AFCI) and disconnects electricity when current arcs outside the conductor due to damaged or faulty wiring. The SmartlockPro Dual Function AFCI/GFCI Receptacle, available at 1000Bulbs.com, is a National Electrical Code® (NEC®) compliant option for areas requiring AFCI and or GFCI protection.
Replacing just the first receptacle provides AFCI and GFCI protection against electrical fire and shock to all downstream outlets and plugged in devices.
