Euri T8 Hybrid LED Tube – One T8 to Rule Them All
Okay, so the 4-foot hybrid T8 LED tube from Euri Lighting may not be ready for world domination, but it is a T8 LED that takes versatility to the next level. It incorporates two of the most popular linear tube shapes, T8 and T12, with the current installation evolutions of LED tubes, direct wire and “plug n’ play.” As the first hybrid LED tube constructed to include all of these features, we felt it was worth exploring the benefits and advantages of its usage.
The best feature about the Euri T8 LED is its ability to be quickly installed in a variety of lighting applications. While other LED tubes are compatible with either shunted or non-shunted sockets, this is the T8 bulb to rule them all, compatible with 70 ballasts across 13 brands. If you have an electronic instant start ballast and shunted lamp holders, you’re good to go. Half of all magnetic rapid start ballasts, along with non-shunted lamp holders, are deemed compatible with this hybrid. But if you’re too busy fleeing the Ringwraiths to figure out what type of ballasts and sockets are installed in your fixture, consider the direct wire option. “Direct wire” means you completely remove the ballast (and the starter for magnetic ballasts) from the fixture. With no ballast or lamp holders, you can wire the T8 directly to the main power source. We recommend a highly trained wizard like Gandalf the Grey or a professionally licensed electrician handles the rewiring of your fixtures.
In addition to the key benefits of being able to replace two different linear fluorescent sizes and easy installation across several fixture setups, the Euri hybrid T8 has several other advantages. It uses a plastic diffuser, making it shatter resistant. The 50,000-hour lifespan ensures the LED will far outlive its fluorescent cousins. Without warmup delays or a flicker of hesitation, this LED will instantly give you a well-lit room. Finally as part of the growing LED family, this T8 is mercury free, energy efficient, and maintenance-reducing, allowing you to focus on more important things—like world domination.
Furthermore, the potential of LEDs in linear fixtures for indoor commercial lighting applications is at a tipping point. The U.S. Department of Energy reported more than 60% of the potential or “overnight” reductions in energy consumption reside in immediate conversion to LED of all linear and low/high bay fixtures in the U.S. With ingenuity like Euri Lighting’s hybrid LED T8, your offices, warehouses, malls, and classrooms could be well on their way to better productivity and more money saved. That makes it one lamp we wouldn’t throw into hot lava.
