PLT Solutions Adjustable LED Wall Packs

Having good security lighting around commercial buildings is a must. One of the most common security lights used on buildings are wall packs. Traditionally, wall packs aim light straight down to illuminate walkways, entrances, and more. Adjustable LED wall packs from PLT Solutions, however, offer a new option with the ability to aim light up or down. Today, we’ll take a look at what sets these versatile fixtures apart from traditional wall packs.

Specifications

These adjustable LED wall packs are securely packaged and come with a set of installation instructions. One of the first things you’ll notice is just how heavy duty these fixtures are. These wall packs are made from die-case metal, and are available with either a white or bronze finish. There are two main options for these fixtures: a single adjustable panel or two adjustable panels. If you go with a single panel LED wall pack option, you're going to be able to choose from a 13, 19, or 25 Watt fixture with light outputs varying from 1900 to 3400 lumens. If you happen to go with the double panel LED wall pack, you're going to be able to choose from 30, 45, or 60 Watts with a range of 4700 to 7800 lumens.

Adjustable Panels

Adjusting the panels of these wall packs is very easy. On a traditional wall packs, the light is going to be pointed down. The panel can be swiveled in any direction, up to 350 degrees. You can aim the light further out to light a wider space, or easily aim the panel up to turn the fixture into an uplight. With the two panel wall pack, you can use it as both an uplight and a down light. One panel can be pointed down while the other panel is pointing up. If you want to maximize all 7800 lumens, just get that second panel pointed down as well, and then from there you can adjust out if you need to increase your distribution. Either way, any of these products will absolutely meet the needs that you have to keep your building secure.

Wattage and Color Selectable

An added benefit to these fixtures is the ability to change the color temperature from 3000, 4000, or 5000 Kelvin. This is easily done at the time of installation. All you really need is a screwdriver or a drill. You'll remove the two screws from the base, which you have to do anyway to install the fixture. This will expose the driver where the switch is located to change the color temperatures. You will also be able to access the knob that controls the fixture's wattage output. Once you have these selected, you will be able to finish the installation by making your electrical connections, closing the wall pack back up, mount it on your wall, and you're good to go.

Additional Feature and Certifications

Regardless of which product you decide to go with, they will all have some similar features. Each of them are going to have plenty of knockouts for field installed photocells. They're going to come with non-yellowing polycarbonate lenses. You're not going to ever have to worry about these fading in the sunlight. It may be most important each one of these fixtures is DLC 5.1 Premium rated. That means they've met the requirements for lumens per Watt, color quality, and also glare reduction.

As you can see, these fixtures pack a powerful punch. The color, lumen, and wattage options, along with the added versatility of rotatable panels, allow you to use these LED wall packs for security in any outdoor commercial application.
