Class 1 Locations & Divisions

You may be wondering where you would normally use hazard-proof fixtures. Some of the specific areas we would be referring to are petroleum refining facilities, utility gas plants, aircraft hangers, manufacturing plants, and others that require hazard proof lighting. These are referred to as Class 1 Locations. All fixtures that meet requirements for installation in these facilities need to carry a Class 1 rating.

Class 1 is also broken up into two divisions, Div 1 and Div 2. Div 1 refers to areas where ignitable, flammable, or combustible concentrations are likely to be present. Div 2 refers to those areas within these facilities where these elements are present but are sealed and contained, and not in concentrations high enough to be ignitable. Round Hazard-Proof Fixtures

The round LED fixture features a heavy duty aluminum alloy construction that has been factory sealed and engineered to ensure it meets the highest of standards. Choose from a 60 Watt fixture featuring 8,300 lumens or a 150 Watt version with 22,650 lumens. This powerful unit can replace anything from 175 to a 400 Watt metal halide. Easily install these units with the pre-installed bracket or utilize the three-quarter inch NTP threaded pipe for pendant mounting.

Linear Hazard-Proof Fixtures

PLT Solutions also offers linear versions of these Class 1 Div 2 rated led fixtures. Equally robust in construction, choose from the 2-foot 40 Watt model seen here with 5,400 lumens or the 4-foot 80 Watt model with 10,800 lumens.
